Through Microfinance, unemployed women can be helped to generate an additional income to the family by involving themselves in home-based ventures. With the credit facilities given, they can initiate small scale businesses of producing various items for sale.
This application helps in carrying out micro finance operations such as;
1. Loan information – Shows in the map based application, borrowers who have to pay loan on a particular day. The field officers can use it to identify the best optimal route to take in collecting the borrowings. Also defaulters will be indicated.
2. Seller information – Shows seller information. For buyers, this map based application could be used to identify sellers. This is helpful to women, in selling their items as, usually they find it hard to sell the items they produced with the loans at the end throwing them to a dreadful situation than before.
3. Donations – in uniform distribution of donations, this is useful as only the most required will receive it.

Target users – women, micro finance institutes, buyers, NGO

33 years of horrible war has been finished. Jubilant Sri Lankan army have captures the terrorists last stronghold, killing one of the most ruthless terrorists leader Velupille Prabhakaran. All of these achievements were came under the correct leadership and the unmeasurable work of the three forces and police. We salute our heroes. President Mahinda Rajapaksa speaking in Tamil at the National event said this country belongs to all. He says the war against the LTTE was not a war against Tamils. He also said "we shattered misconception that one needs a global power to destroy the most ruthless terrorist group". Now it is our duty to work ahead in such a way that no other internal conflict would never rise. Although the bitter war is over, many of the LTTE supportive, specially the Tamil diaspora is desperate to accuse this humanitarian act and tries to put Sri Lanka in front of UN Security Council. We must act united to defeat all such pressure from outside.

Civilians flee form LTTE In large scale

According to the sources there are about two lacks of Tamil people have been forcibly hold by the Tamil carders as a human shield. During last few days thousands of Tamil people form Visuamadu and Sugandirapuram have been escaped from the LTTE hellholes and came towards the security forces controlled areas. This is an irritating and inevitable thing for the LTTE and they are desperate to stop this situation.

On February 9th at around 11.30 a.m. a female suicide bomber had arrived among the civilians who were seeking protection with security forces in guise. The bomber had blown herself before being screened, at IDP rescue centre, North of Visuamadu in Mullaittivu. According to the latest reports, 28 people including 8 civilians were killed and 64 others including 40 civilians reported injured 3 woman soldiers were also among the military fatalities reported.

LTTE main stronghold, Mullaittivu captured

Sri Lanka Army troops of 59 Division liberated the LTTE’s main garrison town Mullaittivu by this 25 January. The attacks were lead by Brigadier Nandana Udawatta, with heavy resist by the LTTE carders. According to the military sources, the town of Mullaittivu was held by LTTE for last 13 years. On 1996 July LTTE captures the Sri Lanka Army base at Mullaittivu, since then Sri Lankan army forces have never entered in to this town. This is a significant milestone of war against terrorism launched to free the entire country from LTTE.

Announcing the victory, Army Commander Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka requested the people to celebrate the victory with dignity by hoisting the national flag.

LTTE blasted off the Kalamadukulam Tank

LTTE terrorists have blasted off the Kalamadukulam Tank bund on Jan 24. It is a desperate attempt to stall the multi-frontal military surge towards Visuamadu area. This inhuman act shows the covertness and the barbarianisms of LTTE.

Kalamadukulam Tank the second largest in the embattled region spreads over 4.5sq.km. It has a capacity of supplementing irrigation water to over 500 acres of land. Terrorists have used high explosives and triggered the detonation flooding a section of the A-35 Paranthan - Mullaittivu main road, Ramanatpuram, Dharmapuram and Visuamadu. It is said that "Not only LTTE had created a humanitarian catastrophe but have also shown their utmost contempt for the very people once they said to 'represent'," defense observers further stated.

Muhamale & Kilali LTTE FDL captured

Sri Lanka Army claims that the LTTE’s Forward Defense Line (FDL) in Muhamale, Jaffna was captured this morning. With this act the Army troops of Division 53 can come towards the Elephant Pass area surrounding the LTTE carders at Elephant Pass. By this move Elephant pass will be confront to the Army and it’s just a matter of time to capture Elephant Pass.
