Sri Lankan Army troops captured Alampil and Puliyankulam

Sri Lanka army forces able capture Puliyankulam on 4th December, The Task Force 2 offensive troops gained control over the Puliyankulam after a grate resistance from the LTTE carders. Troops of 8th Sinha Regiment (SR) and 7th Signal Corps (SLSC) attached to 621 Brigade have gained control over 8.5 Km stretch of Jaffna - Kandy (A-9) main road northwards from Omanthai entry / exit point.
And on the same day the ground troops of 59 Division ware able to entered into the sea tiger bastion, Alampil, located about 10 Km south of Mullaittivu this morning, 4 December. of Alampil as the major sea tiger operational base for logistic transportation from Mullaittivu via sea routs and it is a strategically impotent position for military actions. According to the defence sources it is said that the Mullaittivu has become vulnerable as the fall of Alampil and an offensive directed at the remaining LTTE fortification in Mullaittivu District.
